Today I am going to talk about the bark and leaves of a kola tree. A kola nut tree has a dark flaky bark which protects it. The bark keeps water from evaporating from the tree keeps some animals and insects from eating it. The bark also protect the tissues from damage and diseases. The leaves of the kola tree are compound that means that there are many leaves on one stem. And the kola nut tree is native to west Africa it only grows in a hot climate.
