In the middle ages if you had to go to the bathroom it will be a whole different experience. You will have to use the washroom outside if you are around the king's castle. Especially if you are a knight because you will be fighting around the castle and where oh where are you allowed to use the washroom. Well the washroom is outside you pee and you poo where everyone can see you it wouldn't be in mixed up genders so that's great bye flush flush!
